Michigan Chapter
Heart of the Midwest — proud 2025 convention host.
Our mission
Preserving Nkwen heritage in the heart of the Midwest
Founded in 2010 and led by President Mr. Jude Moma, the Michigan chapter is anchored in the Detroit metropolitan area and serves Nkwen sons and daughters across the state.
Michigan hosted the 2025 NCDA-USA National Convention, and in July 2026 welcomes His Royal Majesty Fon Azehfor III for a community reception and a town hall on heritage preservation — a centerpiece of NCDA-USA's 25th anniversary year.
Our mission is to unite Nkwen sons and daughters across Michigan in cultural fellowship, mutual welfare, and the active preservation of our traditions for the next generation. Through bimonthly meetings, performance, and service, we keep the village close — even thousands of miles away.
Heritage
Cultural education and the Ayene-Ngwi juju dance group keep Nkwen traditions living and visible.
Community
